Richard White House

Richard White house before deconstruction. The Richard White House was built at the turn of the twentieth century with a large addition in the 1940's. This charming Victorian cottage has considerable original exterior details, including arched and heavily molded window and door surrounds, bracketed house and porch cornices, scalloped board and batten gables, and a three bay window with original shutters. Inside is a paneled foyer and other interior features including matching fireplace mantles and paneled arched doors. The house will be deconstructed outside Shelby, NC and can be reconstructed on the buyer's lot or a lot in or around Hillsborough. Existing square feet is around 1,400. Expanding living area in the large attic or replacing the 1940's addition with a large one could expand the square footage to between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet. The estimated price to reconstruct and expand the house is between $130 and $150 per square foot, not including the cost of the lot.
