Buyer's testimonial:
"We've been so happy with the house we purchased from
Cabins, Cottages, and Bungalows. From very early on in the process,
Chris and Steve treated us with respect and were thoughful,
communicative, honest, and accessible. They welcomed our input
and questions about the building process and kept us informed
about all of the stages of the project. Their high level of
craftmanship and attention to detail is rare in the construction
field today. Through the rehabilitation process they have restored
the orignal charm and remained true to the historic charcter
of the house while also providing for all of the modern conveniences.
We feel that they have built a home just for us! We trust the
workmanship and dedication of Cabins, Cottages, and Bungalows
and feel that they are providing a true service to the community."

Chestnut Ridge House
This rustic one story farm-house was moved ½ mile to its
present location after being abandoned for over 30 years. The
original 1892 house, was just 2 rooms with chimneys on either
end. The rear rooms were added in 1930 and the sunroom and bath
as new construction upon the house’ move and restoration
in 1993. The new sunroom and bath addition was made with new framing
materials but incorporated reclaimed 6 inch wide tongue and groove
paneling, an antique brick floor, slate flagstone bathroom floor
and antique windows and doors. The house’ walls, and ceilings
are all antique wood – there is no drywall in the entire
house. An 1850 log cabin addition was added in 1996 and is currently
undergoing restoration.
